Experienced or Apprentice Production Baker - Bend, $19-$25/hr
Hello Bend! Sparrow Bakery is looking to hire a Full Time (4 days/week) or Part Time (2-3 days/week), to join our team! We are looking for a committed, industry professional, who is ready to land a serious career in baking. Baking for our company you can expect to hone and develop your skills in regards to the science and aesthetics of artisan baking! Positions are either daytime positions with AM or early AM start times, or evening positions running apx. 4pm-12am. These positions are labor intensive and will require you to be on your feet. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to bread mixing, shaping, and baking; pastry lamination; pastry baking; and packaging/labeling products when needed. There is also an opportunity to cross train as a cookie decorator on our regionally famous cookie team! Available Shifts
- Early Morning Production Baker: Start times between 3:00 AM–6:00 AM
- Evening Production Baker: Start time at 4:00 PM
Starting pay will depend upon relevant experience:
- Inexperienced or apprentice level baker: $19-$20/hour
- Experienced or professional bakers: $22-$25/hour, DOE
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Production Baker, Bread Baker, Pastry Baker, Artisan Baker, or Bakery Production Team Member is required to qualify for higher rate of pay
- Ability to work early morning OR evening shifts
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and able to contribute in a valuable way to our team
