Reading Electric (The back-up generator division of BDS Corporation) is seeking a reliable and skilled Electrician to join our growing team. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and light commercial standby generator systems. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working outdoors, this is a great opportunity. Training and certifications will be available for the right applicant. Starting pay will be determined based on relevant experiance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance on home standby generators
- Identify and diagnosis common generator issues
- Repair and test
- Assist with generator installations
- Assist other technicians with complex repairs
- Good communication skills with coworkers and clients
Qualifications:
- Electrician with more than 5 years experience.
- Experience with generators, small engines, or electrical systems preferred
- Understanding of electrical wiring and diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Clean background check
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Other:
- Travel required daily local
- Position is full time, typically Monday – Friday but must be available 24/7/365 to participate in emergency calls when available to work.
