Senior IT Systems Manager

Position Overview:
We are in need of a Senior IT Systems Manager to oversee mission networks and laboratory environments in Ventura, CA. This role requires proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Microsoft Windows Server, virtualization, containerization, automation, and maintaining secure systems in a DoD setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize, implement, and manage enterprise server infrastructure
- Handle RHEL and Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise storage
- Supervise containerized workloads (Docker/Podman) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
- Create automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
- Ensure systems adhere to DoD cybersecurity regulations and DISA STIGs
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and offer Tier 2 support for infrastructure issues
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance is mandatory
- 5–7+ years of experience in enterprise systems administration
- At least 2 years of RHEL administration experience
- DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
Preferred:
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Microsoft Windows Server certifications
- Experience with Nutanix, Rubrik, InfoBlox, LogRhythm, Tanium, SCCM/MECM/Intune
