Forklifts promote our Built-on Safety mindset while efficiently moving materials needed for production to required locations. Forklifts will move up to two units of lumber or completed trusses at a time to the designated areas. An ideal Forklift Driver will be able to safely work in tight areas to ensure the timely movement of product.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Follow written QC process for material storage

Operates Forklift safely for production including the loading and unloading of materials and finished products

Coordinates with production management for the movement of products

Maintains logs and safety checks
-
Works with production management to identify changes to processes and procedures, as appropriate

Understands required grade/quality and inspects finished products for quality standards

Understands, observes and promotes all safety policies and procedures

Operates additional equipment related to production

May assist in training and cross training
-
Reports production accurately through utilized programs

Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
-
Commercial Forklift experience
-
Maintains certification
-
Able to clearly and effectively communicate with team members and production management
-
Intermediate understanding of technology for operation of electronics for inventory system

Proficiency reading and writing in English
-
Knowledge of Spanish preferred
Physical Demands:
-
Able to consistently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
-
90% of work to be performed in an environment subject weather, noise, and dust
-
Consistently moving in and out of forklift to properly organize material if need be.
