Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver/ driver helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage various driving tasks, including loading and unloading cargo. Keep in mind that this is a 1099 position and does require some assembly of items being delivered.
Duties
- Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for route driving, ensuring timely deliveries. 26ft
- Local deliveries
- Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Home appliance/furniture assembly experience
- ACTIVE DOT MED CARD is REQUIRED if you want to be a driver
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving route driving.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods as required.
