Overview
Join our healthcare leadership team as a Director of Operating Room (OR) and play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations, clinical quality, and strategic management of the operating room department. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care while collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and hospital leadership. This role requires strong clinical leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, staff development, and continuous improvement.
Duties
- Provide overall leadership and operational oversight for the Operating Room and perioperative services.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies, procedures, and clinical standards to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Coordinate daily operating room schedules, staffing, case assignments, equipment availability, and surgical resources to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing leadership, surgical technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless perioperative operations.
- Monitor department performance, patient outcomes, quality metrics, and operational efficiency while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable healthcare accreditation standards.
- Lead recruitment, orientation, training, performance management, and professional development of operating room staff.
