As an optician at Swift Eye Care, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional optical care and customer service. From frame styling to lens recommendations, you’ll guide patients through every step of their eyewear journey. In addition to optical responsibilities, you’ll also assist with shared front office tasks, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.
- Greet and assist optical patients with professionalism and care
- Provide expert frame styling and help patients select eyewear
- Explain lens options, coatings, upgrades, and make tailored recommendations
- Take precise measurements, including PDs and seg heights
- Adjust, repair, and dispense glasses while ensuring quality and accuracy
- Review vision benefits and explain patient financial responsibility
- Place and track optical orders to ensure timely delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized optical area
- Assist with front office duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in, and supporting patient flow
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise and outstanding customer service skills. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an optician or in optical sales
- Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge: Familiarity with EHR/optical ordering systems and vision insurance is preferred
- Attitude: Reliable, professional, coachable, and a team player
- Commitment: A willingness to assist wherever needed in a small-office environment
