United Air Contracting is a family-owned commercial HVAC company based in Jacksonville, FL. We serve commercial clients — primarily storage facility accounts — and we're building a team of skilled technicians who take pride in their work and want to grow with a company that invests in them.
This is our first technician hire. You won't be a number here — you'll be a foundational part of what we're building, with a clear path to lead tech and beyond as we grow.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a residential tech ready to move into commercial work, or someone with commercial experience who wants to be part of a tight-knit, growing operation. You'll run service calls in the Jacksonville area, work directly with facility managers, and represent United Air Contracting in the field every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform commercial HVAC service, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
- Work with facility managers on job scope and communicate clearly on status
- Complete work efficiently and on schedule — timelines matter to our clients
- Represent United Air Contracting professionally on every job site
- Keep accurate records and submit clean work orders after each call
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
- 4–6 years of HVAC experience, primarily residential — commercial exposure is a strong plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Shows up on time, every time — reliability is non-negotiable
- Communicates well with clients, teammates, and ownership
- Takes ownership of the job from start to finish
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Nice-to-haves:
- EPA 608 Certification
- NATE Certification
- Familiarity with rooftop packaged units (RTUs)
- Experience with Service Channel or similar work order platforms
- Owns HVAC gauges and basic service tools
COMPENSATION & GROWTH
- $30.00/hr starting pay
- Incentive pay on select jobs
- Company van at 30 days
- Pay raise at 6-month review
- Growth path: Lead Tech → Service Manager as the team grows
- Monday–Friday, full-time
