Electrical Service Technician & Installer

Vista Universal, Inc., a statewide lighting and electrical services contractor proudly serving California since 1972, is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Technician & Installer to join our Hayward team. This position supports customers throughout the Greater Bay Area and requires a dependable, skilled technician who can deliver high‑quality service in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and install branch circuits, devices, and related electrical components
- Perform LED retrofits, repairs, and general lighting service
- Install commercial lighting fixtures, including high‑mast systems
- Diagnose and repair lighting controls, switches, sensors, and signage
- Operate aerial lifts and service trucks for maintenance, retrofits, and repairs
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Previous electrical and lighting service experience
- Flexible availability — day, night, weekend, and on‑call work as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to perform occasional out‑of‑town and overnight work (required)
- Clean driving record with current DMV printout (last 3 years) — mandatory
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Team‑oriented mindset
- Must have personal hand tools and electric power tools
- This is not an entry level position. Previous on-the-job hands on experience is required
- DIR/ET # required
- Job requires reporting to Shop in Hayward daily.
