Every day, more than 50,000 students around the world attend Mathnasium learning centers (in-person or online) to boost their math skills. We are highly specialized, teaching only math using a curriculum developed over the past 35 years. We teach math to students from 1st - 12th grade in a way that makes sense to them. This is an excellent part-time opportunity for the ideal candidates. We are looking for bright and ambitious professionals who are willing to work hard and change the way students view math. Our best instructors will have an opportunity to advance to Lead instructor and Assistant Director.
Curriculum and materials are pre-determined for each student, and instructors will apply the teaching methods presented during training.
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional math skills through Algebra 2 / Geometry
- Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
- Energetic and confident personality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to teach students in upper level high school math courses
- Applicants should love teaching and be able to motivate students to success.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Hours may vary, but could include mid-afternoon through early evening hours Monday – Friday and Saturday mornings, approximately 6-20 hours per week (flexible).
