We are seeking Emergency Medical Technicians - EMTs to join our team! You will assess injuries, administer emergency medical care, and extricate trapped individuals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Compliance with all company policies and procedures
· Maintain a clean appearance, demonstrating courteous, professional, and ethical behavior, as well as the ability to work cooperatively with other members
· Continually improve and upgrade the skills and knowledge of the emergency medical profession.
· Render competent patient care in both pre-hospital and inter-facility settings
· Compliance with all applicable protocols for emergency treatment and transportation as per company policy and/or State protocols
· Safely operate and maintain an emergency vehicle and comply with all laws pertaining to the operation of an emergency vehicle
· Safely operate and maintain all equipment and tools relevant to an EMT
· Communicate patient information to other members of the healthcare profession
· Communicate information through the proper “chain of command”, to management and other employees of PMEMS
· Compliance with local, state, and regional emergency medical service operations, regulations, and laws
· Accurately and completely document information required by PMEMS, EHSF, and PA Dept. of Health
· Accurately and completely document the required information on the PCR
· Demonstrate, by attendance and documentation, compliance with the PMEMS, EHSF, and/or the Department of Health requirements for continuing education and licensure
· Submit all continuing education documentation to PMEMS Management on a quarterly basis
· Demonstrate physical ability to perform all tasks required in the performance of duties as an EMT
· Clean and maintain the cleanliness of PMEMS property, including, but not limited to, vehicles, equipment, buildings and surrounding areas
· Accurately and completely document the required information on the PMEMS Daily
· Vehicle Inspection form and the PMEMS Daily Equipment Inventory form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Sit and stand for extended periods time
· Walk, bend, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, and carry
· Frequently lift and/or move more than 125 pounds including lifting, moving, and carrying patients up and down stairs minimum
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of an EMT Basic program and acceptance for licensure in the state of employment
- Current CPR card
- Maintain current, valid Driver’s License
- Maintain, on file, current and valid EMT Basic
- Maintain, on file, current certification cards on all other skill-based pay levels (BTLS, PALS, NALS, ITLS..)
- Possess all NIMS 100,200,700,800 (any additional federal NIMS requirements)
- EVOC/EMSVO
- Consistent Professional Demeanor
- Ability to interact with PMEMS employees in an appropriate manner at all times.
- Successfully completing candidate testing and yearly competency testing
- Current Criminal (State and Federal) Background Checks
- Current Child Abuse Clearance Checks.
- Basic computer knowledge
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
