Duties
- Monitor the premises using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity and prevent theft or vandalism.
- Conduct regular patrols of the store, including high-value areas, to ensure security protocols are followed and physical security measures are maintained.
- Control access points through sophisticated access control systems, verifying credentials of employees, vendors, and visitors to uphold security standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety protocols while coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, suspicious behavior, or safety hazards encountered during shifts.
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the vetting process to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Enforce loss prevention strategies by identifying potential theft risks and implementing proactive measures aligned with company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles within luxury retail, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV operation and access control systems.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; ability to handle emergency medical situations confidently.
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged patrolling while maintaining alertness.
- Excellent conflict de-escalation skills combined with conflict management techniques to resolve issues peacefully.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and heavy lifting safety standards.
- Ability to write clear incident reports accurately and promptly following any incidents or irregularities observed during shifts.
- Knowledge of legal regulations governing security practices and compliance requirements specific to luxury retail environments.
