Broad Function:
The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing repairs, preventative, trouble-shooting maintenance within a mineral processing facility. A successful candidate requires good mechanical aptitude with ability and desire to learn. Experience in welding and mechanical and/or electrical repair desired. On-site Pipe fitting welding test will be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Must be able to perform skilled mechanical work with ability to cut and weld.
· Must be able to perform skilled electrical work with heavy industrial machines.
· Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on processing plant equipment.
· Must be able to adapt quickly to changes and communicate effectively to all parties to keep operations running efficiently.
· Assist in the repair and fabrication of process equipment as required.
· Be willing to work overtime as needed (including some weekends and call-ins).
· Assist in keeping the shop and production facility organized and free of hazards.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a routine basis and work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.
· Must be able to feel comfortable with operating and working on equipment with heights greater than 13 feet.
· Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and achieve results.
· Must have ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
· Must be able to pass a drug test.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.

· Fabrication Skills or Machinist work
· Auto Mechanics
· Electrical 480v & Controls
· MSHA Part 48a is a plus
Working Conditions:
· Work performed in a mineral processing site.
· Primarily outdoor environments, moderate to loud noise levels.
· Standing for long periods on concrete or other hard surfaces; walking over rough and uneven terrain.
· Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting and climbing.
· Frequent use of ladders and steps for accessing equipment.
· Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
· Frequent use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, manipulating tools/objects, and writing/typing.
· Frequent exposure to all outdoor weather conditions.
· Frequent exposure to substances, including but not limited to industrial chemicals, hydraulic fluid, grease, oil and dirt.
