Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychiatric care, with experience in diverse clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth environments. This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health services, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and deliver patient-centered care across a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in medication management, patient assessment, and utilizing electronic health record systems to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with DEA regulations, including psychopharmacology and injectable treatments such as botulinum toxin when applicable.
- Develop individualized treatment plans integrating psychotherapy, medication management, and behavioral health interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and clinical data management.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services across diverse populations.
- Perform patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and behavioral health screenings.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with current certification from the appropriate licensing board.
- Demonstrated experience working within psychiatric settings such as hospitals, clinics, or assisted living facilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health records systems including Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, including medication administration and drug interaction management.
- Experience with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (including children and toddlers), and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
