Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, HVAC/R equipment, and electrical components to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Install new appliances, HVAC equipment, and mechanical systems following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Diagnose issues with complex equipment using schematics, technical diagrams, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes quickly.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, belts, valves, and other essential components to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system updates in compliance with operational procedures.
- Support construction projects or upgrades by collaborating with contractors or internal teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair, service technician roles or similar maintenance positions with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical blueprints effectively.
- Skilled in appliance installation, equipment repair, and maintenance of Mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices to optimize equipment uptime.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building infrastructure is a plus.
- Leadership qualities to guide team members during maintenance projects or emergency repairs.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with troubleshooting skills for complex machinery.
