New England Chimney Supply is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our manufacturing team on our part-time night shift.
This position will primarily focus on the manufacturing of custom chimney caps and stock products. This is a hands-on manufacturing position and is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning equipment, and seeing a finished product at the end of the shift.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture custom chimney caps and standard stock products
- Cut, bend, form, assemble, and finish sheet metal components
- Operate manufacturing equipment and hand tools after proper training
- Follow work orders, measurements, and production instructions
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Package and prepare completed products as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all NECS safety and manufacturing procedures
- Work independently while meeting production and quality expectations
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to consistently work the 6:00 PM–10:00 PM shift
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow measurements and instructions
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Able to stand and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to safely lift and handle manufacturing materials and finished products
- Willing to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes
- Sheet metal or manufacturing experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
