Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design principles and learning technology tools.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate students with disabilities, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, visual impairments, or hearing impairments, ensuring inclusive education.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through classroom management techniques and behavioral health strategies to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, or behavioral therapists to coordinate interventions like applied behavior analysis or music therapy when appropriate.
- Design individualized lesson plans for students requiring specialized instruction in literacy education, math, early childhood education, or preschool settings.
- Support early intervention initiatives and provide childcare or toddler care as needed to promote childhood development in various educational contexts.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience in educational settings such as private schools, preschools, or early childhood programs is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in special education practices, including working with students with disabilities and developing IEPs.
- Experience utilizing learning technology platforms for instruction, assessment, and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of behavioral management techniques and behavioral health strategies to support positive student behavior.
- Background in curriculum development across multiple subjects such as literacy, math, physical education, recreational therapy, or library services is advantageous.
- Proven ability to mentor students and collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and specialists to promote holistic child welfare and academic success. Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
