American Traveler is hiring an LVN/LPN for a Behavioral Health unit specializing in adult psychiatric and co-occurring medical conditions, requiring a CA LVN license and recent Epic experience.

Inpatient behavioral health unit at an acute care psychiatric facility
-
Adult patient population with diagnoses including ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Major Depressive Disorder, Psychotic Disorders, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder

Also serves adults with co-occurring medical conditions such as Substance Abuse Disorder, Alcohol or Opiate Withdrawal, Hypertension, Diabetes, wound care needs, and high-fall-risk geriatric patients

Uses ObservSmart for electronic patient rounding and the Rover device to capture photos, vital signs, and food intake

Charting performed in Epic EMR

Evening shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 15:00–23:30

Current CA LVN license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of LVN/LPN experience required

Epic EMR experience within the last 6 months required

Current BLS certification required

Current certification in one of the following behavioral health de-escalation programs required: CPI, ProAct, PMAB, MOAB, or Handle with Care

Recent inpatient psychiatric experience preferred

2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

No RTO will be approved for this position; only 1 holiday RTO may be approved

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
