Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation across various residential settings
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health standards and client expectations
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface cleaning
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, or cleaning supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in kitchens by sanitizing countertops, appliances, sinks, and other surfaces including cooking areas
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service while respecting their privacy and preferences
Experience
- Prior janitorial or residential housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience with floor cleaning techniques such as polishing, buffing, or stripping is advantageous
- Knowledge of outdoor work environments including patios or decks is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces using various detergents and disinfectants ensures thorough sanitation
- Ability to manage time efficiently to complete scheduled tasks within designated timeframes while maintaining quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with physical endurance
- Strong client communication skills to understand expectations and deliver personalized service
