Position Details
- Position: Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
- Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate ~$30-$50/ hour (Negotiable Based on Experience)
- Locations:
- Metairie, LA
- Destrehan, LA
- Must be willing to work between both office locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, periodontal screenings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- Obtain diagnostic digital radiographs while following all radiation safety protocols.
- Review medical histories, assess oral health, and accurately document findings in patient records.
- Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive dental care.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while creating a fun and positive experience for every child.
- Collaborate closely with dentists, assistants, and front office team members to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and treatment documentation.
- Follow OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and infection control guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Louisiana Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License
- Current CPR Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with a strong team-first mentality
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel between both office locations
Preferred
- Pediatric dental experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience with Open Dental software
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
