Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Handle cashing out guests accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods, demonstrating versatility within the food service environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant settings, or hospitality roles with a focus on guest relations.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during high-volume shifts.
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub environments is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for live music venues is essential!
