This is a NIH, NLM T15 sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Informatics. Its training prepares one for a career in academia or industry, performing research in the field of Biomedical Informatics. There is also potential for concurrently obtaining a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Informatics.
This is a fellowship that will be paid through an academic fellowship, and we anticipate the fellowship will last for multiple years.
During the NLM T15 sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship, you will study and perform research in Biomedical Informatics, working on one or more of the following:
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
- Knowledge Representation and NLP methods
- Clinical Informatics
- Bioinformatics
- Biomedical Ontology
- Public Health Informatics
- Nursing Informatics
- Imaging Informatics
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing informatics research and conducting mentored research
- Presenting research findings to faculty, graduate students and at national conferences and other scientific meetings
- Preparing and submitting research findings for peer reviewed publication
- Assisting in preparation of proposals for grant funding
- Attending seminars, Journal Clubs, Grand Rounds, meetings and conferences
- Assisting with the teaching and training of graduate students
