Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems to ensure peak performance.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot system failures, perform routine maintenance, and optimize equipment efficiency.
- Repair appliances and mechanical components such as boilers, pumps, compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems with precision.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical circuits and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of HVAC systems within building infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and recommended upgrades.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction or property maintenance background is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration systems, plumbing connections, boiler operation, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration).
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair—including welding—and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision.
