We are pumped up and not just on coffee. Pink Owl Coffee ready to rock training a new round of team members to help with our extremely busy cafes. We are seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to join our team as a Barista, Cashier, and Shift Lead- WILLING TO TRAIN ON ALL POSITIONS AVAILABLE. In this multifaceted role, you will be the face of our café, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and managing retail transactions. As an employee of Pink Owl Coffee, you will also oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards are met, and motivate your team to provide an outstanding experience for every guest. These positions offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service, sales, and leadership within a vibrant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and care, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate POS systems such as Square POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Handle cash register operations by processing cash transactions, giving correct change, and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness AT ALL TIMES of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, seating areas, and adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support smooth café operations.
- Lead by example during shifts by managing time effectively, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods.
Requirements- WE WILL TRAIN ON ALL REQUIREMENTS IF NOT EXPERIENCED
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with beverage preparation techniques is a plus. BUT NOT REQUIRED, we encourage training and growth within our company
- Proven cashiering skills with experience using POS systems such as Square POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Experience in retail sales transactions and beverage service is desirable.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and food prep.
