Summary:
The Housekeeping Public Area Male Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of all public areas, male guest restrooms, and back-of-house areas within the hotel. This role ensures that all assigned areas are clean, safe, organized, and well-presented at all times while adhering to housekeeping procedures, hotel policies, and established service standards. The attendant also supports a positive guest experience by promptly addressing cleanliness concerns and maintaining a high standard of hygiene throughout the property.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the hotel in a clean and orderly condition by performing routine cleaning both inside and outside of the building.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Must clean guest male restrooms throughout their shift.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks properly and effectively.
- Must be able to perform manual tasks and heavy repetitive lifting.
- Responsible for making our glass doors, lobby, corridors, restrooms, and other public/back-of-house areas shine and sparkle with polishing, dusting, vacuuming, and generally keeping everything neat.
- Keep and maintain all closets and storage areas in a neat, clean, and organized fashion.
- Take care of and maintain all equipment.
- Restock all supplies including toilet paper, soap, and hand towels in the washrooms.
- Empty and re-line all trash cans.
- Clean and maintain lights, lamps, and lampshades. I
- Inspect condition of furniture and pillows for tears, rips, stains, and report any damages.
- Arrange all cushions and pillows properly on all sofas and chairs.
- Assist guests with their questions and direct them to the areas they want to go.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
