We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical/Taxi Transporter to provide reliable transportation services for patients and clients requiring medical or personal transportation. Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles, including taxis, shuttle vans, or medical transport vans, ensuring compliance with all local and state transportation laws.
- Transport clients to scheduled appointments, hospitals, or other destinations while maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle to ensure safety and comfort for all passengers.
- Use GPS navigation systems to follow designated routes efficiently and adapt to real-time traffic conditions.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays; provide excellent customer service throughout each trip.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking fuel levels, tires, brakes, lights, and other essential systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, chauffeur driver or in similar passenger transportation roles.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or limousine license).
- Experience operating passenger vans, medical transport vehicles or heavy-duty vehicles with manual handling skills.
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes to optimize travel efficiency.
- Familiarity with state transportation regulations and adherence to traffic laws at all times.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling luggage or mobility aids.
- Prior experience in medical transportation is highly desirable for understanding client needs and safety protocols.
