We are looking for individuals who are dynamic, outgoing, highly detailed and organized. Individuals must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating and preparing mortgage loan closings, and real estate closings between buyers, sellers, lending institutions, real estate firms, and mortgage brokers. Our ideal candidate will:
- Be responsible to meet strict timing requirements / deadlines as contained in a real estate transaction
- Understand the entire closing process, including document presentation, title requirements, accounting processes and lender requirements
- Have a valid driver’s license for limited travel
- This is an office job, not a remote position.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and coordinate all closing documents, including contracts, disclosures, and settlement statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify that all loan conditions are met in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other investor requirements.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, escrow officers, and title agents to facilitate seamless closings.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other federal or state mortgage laws during the closing process.
- Conduct credit analysis and review loan documentation to confirm borrower eligibility and loan terms.
- Manage escrow accounts, disbursing funds accurately while adhering to legal and contractual obligations.
- Maintain meticulous records of all closing activities, including documentation related to mortgage servicing and loan processing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mortgage or real estate closing processes, preferably with loan officer or underwriting background.
- Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, escrow procedures, and fair housing laws.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems, mortgage servicing practices, and credit analysis techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; proficiency in 10-key typing and basic math calculations.
- Ability to interpret contracts accurately and ensure compliance with banking standards.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the closing process.
- Prior experience working within financial services or banking environments is highly desirable.
