About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to contribute to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within industrial settings. In this role, you will apply your expertise in wiring, conduit installation, and motor controls to ensure the seamless operation of our facilities. Your proficiency in reading electrical drawings and using testing equipment will be essential to maintaining high standards of safety and precision.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems, adhering to NEC, NFPA 70E, and industry standards to ensure safety and compliance.
- Execute wiring, conduit installations, and motor controls to support the functionality of drives, power distribution, and communication systems.
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
- Utilize testing equipment such as multimeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Promote a culture of safety by actively participating in safety programs and immediately addressing unsafe conditions.
- Contribute to the development of less-experienced electricians through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical work, demonstrating a progression of skills from entry-level to advanced proficiency.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to work in diverse environments, including industrial, commercial, and field settings.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Solid computer and communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
- Flexibility to work full-time, with overtime and occasional travel as needed.
