Overview
We are seeking a friendly and experienced Barista to join our team at Paris Baguette (Hayward). As a Barista, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and cold brews.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction with their beverage and dining experience.
- Operate a point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with food preparation, such as baking pastries and sandwiches.
- Provide help and support to colleagues as needed, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
- Keep up-to-date with current coffee trends and products, making recommendations to customers and contributing to menu development.
- Perform cash handling duties, including making change and counting cash at the end of the shift.
- Perform other tasks as required, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the café and handling customer complaints.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role in the food service industry.
- Knowledge of retail math and ability to accurately handle cash and credit transactions.
- Familiarity POS systems.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
