Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about traditional Japanese cuisine and interested in building a long-term career with a respected restaurant. Responsibilities
- Prepare nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and seasonal sushi offerings to a consistently high standard
- Demonstrate strong knife skills and proper fish handling techniques
- Assist with fish preparation, inventory management, and quality control
- Maintain sushi rice preparation and consistency
- Support daily kitchen and sushi bar operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Work closely with management and team members to maintain smooth service operations
- Contribute to maintaining the restaurant’s quality standards and guest experienceRequirements
Required Qualifications
- 2+years of professional sushi chef experience
- Experience preparing nigiri and sashimi independently
- Strong knowledge of fish handling, preparation, and food safety standards
- Ability to communicate in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (No visa sponsorship available for this position)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an authentic Japanese restaurant
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
