Become an Infant-Toddler Family Specialist through Graceland Student Services and help children smash developmental goals through early intervention.
Duties / Responsibilities
- The part-time, contractual Infant Toddler Family Specialist (ITFS) will Provide early intervention to infants and toddlers who have developmental delays and/or disabilities. ITFSs deliver intervention services in the developmental domains of cognitive, adaptive, social-emotional, fine motor, gross motor, and language.
- Coach parents and caregivers on ways to foster development and provide families with practical methods of implementation across daily routines.
- Track child progress and complete daily progress notes.
- Assist families in leveraging community support by providing resources.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development.
- Ability to serve in one or more of the following counties: Wilson, Nash, Edgecombe, Johnston, Halifax, and Northampton, Wayne, Pitt
- Ability to pass background check
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required
Education and experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields.
- Birth-Kindergarten Education
- Early Childhood Special Education
- Special Education
- Child Development
- Psychology
- Social Work
or related field
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, and driving for long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift 30 lbs
- Must be able to travel between Wilson, Nash, and Edgecombe counties
