Salon Coordinator - Friendly and Focused - Starts at $17/hour
This is for a part time role at our multi location salon company on the West side of Nashville. Unfortunately, we are not looking for seasonal hires at this time. Core responsibilities are to deliver exceptional guest service and positive attitude at front desk and throughout the retail floor including all check-in functions (greeting and offering guest refreshments, delivery of new guest materials and collection of visit customization forms), floor management (cleaning up guest refuse and keeping floor neat and orderly) and check-out (pre-booking of reservations, correct processing of all transactions, retail consultations) and all other POS functions as dictated by owners. In addition, this is a sales driven position, all candidates should be comfortable recommending and selling our retail haircare products. You are the face of our company - your dress and grooming should be an extension of our existing brand. Must exhibit leadership ability and initiative. Must be able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
Position Responsibilities:
Demonstrate ability to help salon in reaching minimum service, retail, pre-booking, gift card sales, additional service goals and referrals through tracking own front desk performance.
Be friendly, kind, courteous and practice the art of smiling in the face of pressure.
Demonstrate an ability to be proactive in managing the appointment book. This includes call-outs, booking conflicts, mis-booked and mis-timed reservations and all other challenges that may arise from time to time.
Exhibit conscientiousness regarding overall salon appearance and cleanliness. Be proactive in addressing any cosmetic needs of facility.
Effectively interface with owners on an ongoing basis with solution based criticism and delivery of important information derived during the course of doing business.
Demonstrate excellent guest service and a positive attitude for all calls into and out of Studio. Adhere to all existing scripts set by company.
Responsible for managing opening and closing checklists for salon and communicating with ownership/leadership about any specific challenges relative to floor management.
REQUIREMENTS: We hire based on personality and train to the skill set. While a background in sales and service is desired, it is not required. High School diploma or GED certificate is required. 2 or 4 year degree program is preferred.
COMPENSATION AND HOURS OF WORK: Position is part time and there is potential for overtime on a seasonal basis. Starting pay is $17 per hour and is evaluated on an ongoing basis. Sales commission will be paid out on a sliding scale above minimum standard relative to retail sales goals. Benefits include: sales based bonuses and paid training.
