Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage food handling responsibilities including portioning, packaging, and ensuring freshness of all products
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and restocking supplies to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change and sales totals
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service roles preferred; experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math applications
- Experience working in a café, retail store, grocery store, or similar setting is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and cleaning
