Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Clover
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process transactions accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and bussing tables
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support opening or closing duties such as setting up tables, restocking supplies, and sanitizing workstations
Skills
- Extensive experience with POS systems including Clover
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Proven ability to upsell menu items like cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Culinary experience or restaurant background with fine dining exposure preferred
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of wine pairing, spirits experience, and cocktail preparation to enhance guest experiences
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of hospitality
