Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tri Axle Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a specialized heavy-duty dump truck equipped with three axles, transporting materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and other construction aggregates to various job sites. Your expertise will help ensure smooth project progress by delivering materials efficiently and safely, adhering to all safety regulations and company standards. Duties
- Safely operate a tri axle dump truck to transport construction materials across multiple sites, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the truck, checking mechanical components, brakes, lights, and fluid levels to guarantee safe operation.
- Load and unload materials accurately using the dump truck’s hydraulic system, ensuring proper distribution and coverage.
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries and materials transported for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical issues promptly.
- Assist with reporting any mechanical issues immediately to ensure minimal downtime.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, construction site regulations, and transportation laws.
- Operate Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery confidently and safely.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A, preferably with endorsements relevant to construction hauling.
- Construction site experience demonstrating understanding of safety standards and logistical coordination on active job sites.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery confidently and safely.
- Knowledge of construction materials handling and transportation best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and site personnel.
