Job Summary
The Industrial HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large-scale heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems used in industrial and commercial facilities. This role ensures systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial HVAC/R equipment, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handlers, rooftop units, exhaust systems, and associated controls.
· Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic control issues and implement corrective actions.
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
· Monitor system performance, document service activities, and complete work orders accurately.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and company safety policies.
· Respond to emergency service calls and participate in on-call rotations as required.
· Coordinate with operations, engineering, and contractors to plan and execute repairs and upgrades.
· Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory of parts and materials.
· Recommend system improvements, energy-efficiency measures, and equipment replacements.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
· Minimum 10 years of experience servicing industrial or large commercial HVAC systems.
· EPA Section 608 Certification required (Universal preferred).
· Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, VFDs, controls, and refrigeration cycles.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
· Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and any required random or post-incident drug testing in accordance with company policy.
· Must be able to successfully pass a background check in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.

Work Environment
· Industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, and commercial buildings
· May include indoor and outdoor work
· Possible exposure to moving machinery, electrical systems, and hazardous materials
Schedule & Availability
· Full-time position
· Overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call availability may be required
