As the Assistant General Manager, you will oversee all daily operations, ensuring that the store runs smoothly, profitably, and according to company standards. You will lead the team by example, maintaining a positive environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and meeting operational goals. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performing team of employees, ensuring all team members are aligned with the company's values and goals.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development to employees and shift leads to foster a productive and positive work environment.
- Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service and operational excellence.
- Operations & Store Management:
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including opening and closing procedures, food preparation, cleanliness, and quality control.
- Manage the scheduling of employees to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and non-peak hours while controlling labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness protocols.
- Conduct regular store inspections and audits to ensure standards are consistently met.
- Customer Service:
- Handle guest complaints or issues, ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving concerns quickly and professionally.
- Foster a welcoming and positive guest experience, ensuring that all customers are greeted warmly and served promptly.
- Drive customer loyalty through exceptional service and engagement, contributing to repeat business and customer retention.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role within the quick-service restaurant industry.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team.
- Proven track record of achieving operational and financial goals.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Experience with P&L management and financial reporting.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business or hospitality management is a plus.
