Seeking upbeat, positive and experienced medical assistant with Pediatrics or Family Medicine experience.
The M.A. duties include:
- Rooming patients
- Vitals and measurements
- Giving and recording immunizations through the Florida Shots database
- Basic in-house lab procedures including: strep test, covid test, flu test, UA, lead, skin allergy testing, etc.,
-Clean and sterilize equipment and stocks patient rooms and labs with appropriate supplies
-Maintains patient flow after check-in
-Complies with office policies and procedures, OSHA Standards, and HIPAA Privacy Regulations.
The job requirements are as follows:
-Experience as an M.A. in Pediatrics or Family Medicine is preferred
-Ability to multitask
-Basic medical terminology and arithmetic
-Proficient skills in EHR technology (experience with AthenaHealth EHR is a plus)
-Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
