MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVER RECORD We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the premises through effective monitoring and response to incidents.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to oversee premises and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing assistance as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and security systems to ensure functionality.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required during incidents or investigations.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A military background may be beneficial for understanding security protocols and discipline.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff, visitors, and emergency services.
