Reports To: Adult Day Support Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: 7:30am-3:30pm, or based on the needs of the Division
Position Summary:
The Adult Day Support Program Assistant provides direct support to adult participants with disabilities, assisting with daily living activities facilitating recreational activities (both in the facility and in the community), and ensuring a safe environment

Perform all delegated nursing services as outlined in the individual’s task analysis

Provide assistance with meals and personal care

Engage members in community activities and volunteering

Responsible for completing all paperwork due on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis

Responsible for following all programs as outlined in the members’ ISP and Behavior Management Plan

Ensure the health and safety of all members
-
Provide ongoing input for the development of the ISP

Attend all meetings as scheduled by the ADS Manager or Director of Operations
-
Provide transportation for members, to and from the agency
-
Maintain transportation documents including scheduling maintenance and pre-trip inspections
-
If necessary, fill in as an alternate at various worksites or other divisions

Uphold the rights, dignity and respect of all members
-
Other duties as required

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

Compassionate, patient, and dependable

Ability to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team members
-
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
-
Must be at least 18 years old

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
-
Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings

Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certification
-
Must be able to read, write, and understand English

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis
-
Must have the ability to be flexible with schedule, if needed
-
Must be willing to intervene and physically assist with program members as necessary to care for, move, lift, and restrain behaviors that may be injurious to self or others
