Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients for office visits.
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
- Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostic testing, and procedures.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient visits and clinical procedures.
- Perform EKGs, collect specimens, administer injections, and complete other clinical tasks within scope of practice.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
- Answer patient phone calls, relay clinical messages, and assist with prescription refill requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Prepare and stock exam rooms while maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting daily clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
- Previous cardiology experience is preferred.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
- Strong clinical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to commute to Berwyn, PA.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday–Friday.
- Shifts scheduled between 6:45 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Tuesday evening clinic until 8:00 PM on a rotating basis.
- Schedule provided one week in advance.
- Flexibility to remain until the provider has completed patient care when needed.
