Duties
- Coordinate patient scheduling, treatment planning, and financial arrangements to maximize practice productivity and patient satisfaction
- Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to healthcare policies
- Manage billing processes, insurance claims, and medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Oversee compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO standards, health regulation policies, and other relevant healthcare regulations
- Facilitate communication between patients, dental providers, and insurance companies to ensure clarity on treatment plans and financial responsibilities
- Monitor clinic performance metrics including budgeting, financial management, and utilization management to drive continuous improvement
- Lead staff meetings, provide training on medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and customer service standards to foster a high-performing team
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office management or dental office administration with familiarity in managing healthcare practices
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams within a healthcare or dental setting
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation
- In-depth understanding of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and JCAHO accreditation standards
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and handle human resources functions effectively
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures, patient management software, and healthcare practice management strategies
- Background in acute or critical care environments is advantageous; familiarity with managed care and utilization management is preferred
- Ability to navigate complex medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records systems efficiently
