We are looking for an experienced and dependable Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial trailers and trucks while ensuring all equipment is safe and road-ready.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on:
- Tank Trailers
- Bulk Tanks
- Chemical Tanks
- Van bodies
- Dry van trailers
- Dump trailers
- Flatbed trailers
- Lowboy trailers
- Dump trucks
- Repair and replace brakes, suspension components, axles, wheel seals, bearings, hubs, and landing gear.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, and lighting.
- Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed.
- Repair trailer floors, roofs, doors, side panels, and structural components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance services and DOT inspections.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems on dump trailers and dump trucks.
- Maintain accurate repair records and complete work orders.
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work efficiently to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a trailer or heavy-duty truck mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and structural repairs.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs independently.
- Familiarity with DOT inspection requirements.
- Must have your own basic hand tools (shop tools provided).
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in various weather conditions
