This position is located in the
Office of Eligibility Appeals & Quality, Richland County.This is an in-office role and not a telecommute or remote position.
Are you the One? We are looking for a
Eligibility Performance and Coaching Process (EPCP) Database Specialist who will be responsible for the management of the EPCP database. This includes interpreting, formatting and reporting of data in a useable format for supervisor and manager use. The EPCP Database Specialist is also responsible for documenting processes, guidelines, and procedures for staff statewide, and ensuring the process is implemented consistently and accurately statewide.

Manage the Structured Query Language (SQL) Database to include oversight of the Eligibility Team’s validation of data provided through the Eligibility Performance Staffing Model system. Communicates with IT staff regarding IT processes to ensure data is accurate and system logic is implemented per Eligibility’s requirements. Coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure any errors are identified and corrected.

Maintains written Eligibility Performance and Coaching Process (EPCP) guidelines and procedures that align with the departmental objectives. Regularly communicates these guidelines and procedures at all levels of the Agency as appropriate using both written and verbal communication methods. Coordinates and monitors statewide processes and identifies opportunities for improvement. Executes any ongoing improvements as needed.

Utilizes Power Business Intelligence (BI) for data analytics and data visualization. Maintains and updates data for trend prediction and analysis. Works with the business and/or management to establish business needs to anticipate upcoming issues where utilizing data and reports will be beneficial. Stays abreast of changes within the agency to conduct relevant data analysis needed for outcome prediction or process modification as practicable. Monitors trends in data and data analytics and uses appropriate tools for data analysis and visualization.

Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Makes and keeps schedules, completes tasks timely and reports to work timely. Assists eligibility management and senior leadership with projects as assigned. Performs related duties as assigned or required.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES A high school diploma and work experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, the support of database management systems, or any relevant program experience.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
