Responsibilities
- Assist your family members with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer loved ones with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Observe and report any changes in the your loved ones' physical or mental condition, including signs of dementia or other health concerns
- Follow established care plans designed by healthcare professionals, case managers, social workers, or nurses to meet each patient's unique needs
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures in case of emergencies
Requirements
- Your family member or loved one that you will be caring for is a Medicaid / Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipient.
- Be able to use a smartphone to document your work hours within your loved one's home.
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments, with familiarity in long-term care settings
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Strong patient observation skills coupled with the ability to monitor vital signs accurately
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, families, and clients’ support networks
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information even amoung family members
- Compassionate attitude combined with patience and resilience needed for caring for individuals with complex health conditions

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
