Job Summary
Country Montessori School in Poway, CA is seeking a highly organized and professional School Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the school while providing direct support to the Principal and faculty. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment. This role also includes coordinating the school’s two major annual fundraising events.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Coordination
Manage and prioritize daily operational tasks including, but not limited to:
- Answering phones, emails, and greeting visitors
- Assisting with late student arrivals and early pick-ups
- Supporting parent communication and record requests
- Coordinating childcare coverage during school breaks and non-school days
- Billing and administrative reporting
- Organizing monthly fire and earthquake drills
- Coordinating parent-teacher conferences
- Providing ongoing support to faculty and staff
Fundraising & Event CoordinationCoordinate and oversee the school’s major fundraising events, including:
- Fall Walk-a-Thon
- Spring Auction
Purchasing & Inventory
Maintain purchasing and ordering for school and classroom needs to support daily operations efficiently.
Facilities CoordinationCoordinate campus maintenance and vendor services, including:
- Cleaning services
- Landscaping
- Pest control
- Handyman and campus improvement projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience in education administration
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to supporting a positive and welcoming school community.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, and parents
- Familiarity with technology tools and administrative software systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics for events and daily operations efficiently
- Passion for supporting educational excellence and fostering a positive learning environment
Pay: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour
