This role is a combination of both forklift operator and administrative responsibilities for shipping, receiving and inventory. As the Receiving & Inventory Operator it is your responsibility to maintain a high standard of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for cycle counting activities and inventory accuracy checks to maintain system accuracy through inventory adjustments as required with proper documentation.
- Determine root cause of inventory inaccuracies and follow corrective actions as appropriate.
- Report all issues and incomplete work to Manager.
- Operate a forklift to properly and safely put away all incoming products accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize forklift to unload precut glass racks.
- Prepare electronic and paper-based documentation for all shipments including Bills of Lading, Packing List, Tax Invoice, Proforma Invoice, Commercial Invoice, and other records to comply with all domestic and international transportation regulations.
- Maintain the Quality Standard of the product by visually inspecting products, crates, and packaging
- Identify, organize and label all inventory as needed.
- Enter data into ERP system and assist with creation of reports in Excel
- Maintain warehouse space efficiently and adequately for all on-site warehouse inventory.
- Develop, implement, and improve Inventory Control strategy to control costs, generate savings, and minimize operational interruptions.
- Collaborates with Purchasing, Inventory and Quality teams to support overall operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years experience in receiving, quality and shipping.
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Outlook and Excel – NetSuite is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Prior Forklift experience – Forklift Certified is a plus.
- Ability to learn the rules and regulations of domestic and international shipments.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position works in a manufacturing plant working around glass, machines, forklifts, and other equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 25lbs to 50lbs on a continuous basis throughout the day.
DIRECT REPORTS:
This position does not have direct reports.
