American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience and Epic proficiency.

Works in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a large academic medical center

Patient ratio is approximately 1:3

Telemetry monitoring is a core component of patient care

Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on weekdays and some weekends

Rotating holiday coverage is required

On-call is required

Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity is required

Epic EMR is used and experience is required

Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required

Proficiency in IV starts required

Telemetry monitoring experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Two professional references required: at least one must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — no coworker references accepted

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Former employees of this facility are eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract duration

Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet as soon as possible upon receipt
