Duties
- Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring proper exercise tailored to each pet’s needs and behavior.
- Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and maintaining routines.
- Handle animals with care, using appropriate animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and handlers.
- Monitor pet behavior during walks and visits, recognizing signs of stress or discomfort and responding appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pet’s activities, health status, and any concerns that arise during visits.
- Assist with overnight in-home care when needed, providing companionship and basic veterinary support if required.
- Maintain detailed records of each pet’s care, behavior observations, and any special instructions from owners.
Qualifications
- 18+
- Have own insured vehicle
- Smartphone with unlimited data
- Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and understanding of animal behavior is a plus.
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is desirable for handling medical needs.
- Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary experience can enhance your ability to care for pets with special health requirements.
- Comfortable performing outdoor work in various weather conditions; physical ability for heavy lifting when necessary.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple pets safely while demonstrating patience and compassion.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
