Job Title: Planning Engineer
Job Location: Jacksonville, FL
Experience required: 6 – 7 years in telecom engineering
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Planning the FTTx and Fiber network for telecom and HFC network
- Planning & design of FTTH projects based on GPON technologies and design the network layout using different application (Smallword, Autocad, NE etc)
- Understanding the Customer Service Orders and update OSP and ISP network details.
- Understanding the SDH, PDH, Ethernet networks and different equipment’s.
- Understanding the Customer Requirements like ISDN, Leased lines, Pots, VPN, BRI, PRI, etc. · Provision of services in different databases
- Coordinate with client for any technical queries for ensuring that the delivery meets the requirement.
- Good understanding of telecom network topology and customer connectivity.
- Should have telecom network design skills in AutoCAD, Small world or any other GIS application
- Should have experience in Plan and design of telecom networks (Fibre, copper, CATV, HFC)
- Knowledge on transport and Ethernet networks ·
- Hand-on experience on telecom networks including OSP and ISP elements. ·
- Must have good communication skills
